Product Technician Overview

CUTEK is seeking a Product Technician to install, maintain, and support our software
solutions in client production environments. This is a hands-on technical role that serves
as the front line for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
The Product Technician works directly with clients to gather technical information,
reproduce issues, and communicate findings to our development team. Strong technical
aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset are essential
for success in this role.

technical professional who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Install, configure, and maintain CUTEK software systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production environments to identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote sessions.
  • Gather requirements and technical details from clients to assist the development team.
  • Investigate software defects and document findings with clear reproduction steps.
  • Perform database queries and basic data analysis using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and other team members to resolve customer issues.
  • Assist with software deployments, upgrades, and system maintenance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and internal procedures.
  • Continuously improve support processes and contribute to operational best practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Good understanding of Web API/RESTful concepts (json/XML)
  • Experience working in Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of IT network and security concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Microsoft Command Prompt (CMD) or legacy DOS environments
  • Postman or other API testing tools
  • Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • MS Azure DevOps
  • Visual Studio
  • Source Control (Git)
  • MS Azure
  • JavaScript and jQuery
